WORLD CANCER DAY – Awareness Banner Design

By Alinani Katende – Also Known As Metro Wise King

This banner was designed for Kalulushi General Hospital under the Ministry of Health to commemorate World Cancer Day. The goal was to create a powerful and unifying visual that promotes awareness, support, and the importance of cancer prevention. The final design was created in Adobe Photoshop and prepared for large-format printing suitable for public display.

Design Features:

Prominent “World Cancer Day” headline with a bold purple awareness ribbon integrated into the typography
Theme line: “Stronger Together: Uniting Voices for Cancer Prevention and Support” for emphasis on unity and hope
Use of multiple cancer ribbon colors to represent different cancer awareness types
Soft pink background symbolizing compassion and care
Official Ministry of Health emblem placed at the top for authority and authenticity
Simple, clean layout ensuring clear readability and visual impact

This project demonstrates my ability to design impactful awareness banners that communicate health-related messages with compassion, clarity, and professionalism—aligning visual aesthetics with meaningful social causes.
